Home Remodeling Contractors in Fort Myers, FL

Fort Myers is home for us: our office and showroom are on Metro Pkwy, in town. It's also one of the most varied places to remodel in Southwest Florida: 1920s homes along historic McGregor Boulevard and the downtown River District, mid-century canal houses in Whiskey Creek and Town and River, and newer gated communities out toward Gateway and Colonial Country Club. Alliance Construction & Renovation remodels across all of it, with scopes matched to what each home actually is.

Remodeling for This Housing Stock

Historic and older homes, modernized
Along McGregor Boulevard and through the River District, Fort Myers holds some of the region's oldest housing: homes with real character and dated systems. We modernize what's behind the walls without erasing what makes them worth owning. Start with our whole-home remodeling approach.
Kitchens that open up
Original galley and closed-off kitchens in mid-century homes become open, working spaces: cabinetry, counters, lighting, and layout as one kitchen remodeling plan.
Bathrooms brought current
From tight hall baths to tub-to-shower conversions and primary-suite baths finished to the level of the rest of the house.
Reworked floor plans and additions
Whiskey Creek and Town and River homes were built for a different era of living. We open walls and, where the lot allows, add square footage with home additions.
River- and canal-facing outdoor living
Homes along the Caloosahatchee and the McGregor canals deserve outdoor spaces that face the water properly.

This Is Our Home City

Our office and showroom sit on Metro Pkwy (11751 Metro Pkwy, STE 1) right here in Fort Myers. That means crews are based minutes from most jobsites, and you can stand in front of actual cabinet doors, counters, and flooring before you choose them. Preview the design on screen in 3D, pick materials in person, and know exactly who's showing up: we're a licensed contractor (CBC1268590) with a BBB A+ rating and a 5.0 Google rating.

Respecting a Home's Character

Not every Fort Myers remodel should look brand-new. On McGregor, in the River District, and in the older neighborhoods off US-41, the goal is usually the opposite: modern comfort behind period character. We update wiring, plumbing, windows, kitchens, and baths while keeping the details that give these homes their value: original proportions, trim, and street presence. When something genuinely can't be saved, we say so and price the alternatives side by side, so the call stays yours.

One City, Every Vintage

Fort Myers isn't one kind of house. A single week can take us from a 1920s home near the river, to a 1970s canal house in Whiskey Creek, to a newer build out in Gateway or Colonial Country Club. Each era needs a different scope, and we build for all of them. What stays constant is how we work: a design you approve before demolition, an itemized number, and one accountable team from start to finish.

Fort Myers Remodeling FAQs

I own an older home near McGregor. Can you remodel it without ruining its character?

That's a large part of what we do on that side of town. We modernize systems, kitchens, and baths while protecting the proportions, trim, and street presence that make these homes worth owning. Where original materials can be saved, we save them, and where they can't, we tell you before we start.

Do I permit through the City of Fort Myers or Lee County?

It depends on the address. Homes inside the incorporated City of Fort Myers permit through the city building department; many "Fort Myers" mailing addresses are actually unincorporated Lee County and permit through the county. We confirm which applies and handle the process either way.

My home is in a flood zone. Does that change a remodel?

It can. For substantial improvements, FEMA and local rules may trigger elevation or other requirements: the value of the work relative to the home matters. We flag it early and scope honestly, rather than discovering it mid-project.

Do you work downtown and in the River District?

Yes. Tighter lots, shared access, and neighborhood requirements are part of the plan, not an afterthought; we schedule and stage the work to respect where the home sits.

Is your showroom actually in Fort Myers?

Yes: on Metro Pkwy, STE 1. You can preview your project in 3D and choose real cabinet doors, counters, and flooring in person before anything is ordered.
