Flooring Installation in Fort Myers, FL
Almost every Fort Myers home sits on a concrete slab, and that slab decides how a floor should be installed: moisture testing, leveling, and the right underlayment matter as much as the material on top. Alliance Construction & Renovation installs tile, luxury vinyl plank, and wood flooring across Southwest Florida, whole-home or single-room, with the prep work done properly because we’re the ones who’d have to answer for a floor that fails.
Flooring We Install
The default for Florida living: cool underfoot, humidity-proof, and available in wood-look planks that give you the grain without the moisture worry. Large-format tile demands a flat slab, which is exactly why prep matters.
Waterproof, comfortable, and quick to install. The quality spread between LVP lines is wide: wear-layer thickness and core construction are where cheap floors give themselves away, and we’ll show you the difference.
Real wood engineered for slab-on-grade installation. In our climate it needs the right moisture barrier and acclimation, and closed-up seasonal homes make material choice matter even more.
Continuous flooring through main living areas: one client had us supply flooring for the entire house alongside a kitchen remodel. Transitions, thresholds, and direction changes get planned, not improvised.
New floors also land inside a larger remodel more often than they stand alone: same crew, one schedule, one contract.
Flooring Installation FAQs
What’s the best flooring for Florida homes?
Porcelain tile and quality LVP handle the humidity best. Engineered wood works when the slab tests dry and the home stays climate-controlled. It depends on the room and how you live in it.
Can you install flooring over my existing tile?
Sometimes: some LVP can float over sound, flat tile. Often demo is the better answer. We’ll tell you which after seeing the floor.
How long does installation take?
A single room can be days; a whole home runs longer, especially with tile demo. The number we quote includes the schedule for your scope.
Do I need to move out during installation?
Usually not. We sequence rooms so you keep living space through the project, though whole-home tile demo has loud, dusty days worth planning around.
Do you fix uneven or cracked slabs first?
Yes: leveling and crack isolation are part of prep when the slab needs it. It’s the step that separates a floor that lasts from one that telegraphs every flaw through.
