Southwest Florida Home Remodeling Demand Report (2026)

Southwest Florida Home Remodeling Demand Report (2026)

An original data report from Alliance Construction & Renovation. To help Southwest Florida homeowners plan smarter, we analyzed our own first-party demand data — 334 anonymized homeowner inquiries (phone, text, and web form) received between December 2025 and June 2026, alongside 43 verified five-star project reviews. No personal information is included; every figure below is aggregated. Where a data point wasn’t captured (for example, project budget), we say so rather than estimate it.

How Fort Myers homeowners prefer to reach a remodeler

Across 334 inquiries, the phone still dominates — but nearly half of all first contacts now arrive by text or web form. If you’re a remodeler, being reachable on every channel matters.

What Southwest Florida homeowners are asking for

Among the inquiries where a homeowner named a specific project, whole-home renovations and additions led demand, followed by custom cabinetry and bathroom remodels. (Bars show relative demand — the share of inquiries mentioning each project type, ranked highest to lowest; a single inquiry may mention more than one.)

When remodeling demand peaks in SWFL

Inquiry volume climbed steadily through the first half of 2026, roughly doubling from winter into late spring before easing as rainy season and hurricane planning set in — a pattern worth knowing if you’re timing a project or lining up a contractor.

Where the demand comes from

Among inquiries with an identifiable Southwest Florida location, Fort Myers led, followed by Naples and Cape Coral — consistent with our core service area of Lee and Collier counties. Roughly 4 in 5 inquiries reached us through organic search, underscoring how many local homeowners start a remodel with a Google search rather than a referral.

What finished clients value most

Across 43 verified five-star reviews of completed projects, the themes homeowners mention again and again are clear communication, a clean and respectful worksite, realistic 3D design planning before demolition, and finishing on schedule. These are the details that separate a smooth remodel from a stressful one — and they line up with what our inquiry data shows homeowners care about before they ever sign.

Methodology & caveats

This report aggregates 334 anonymized inbound inquiries (phone, text, and web-form) captured by our call-tracking system between December 2025 and June 2026, plus 43 public Google reviews of completed projects. Project-type percentages reflect the share of inquiries in which a homeowner named a specific project and are not mutually exclusive. Inquiries flagged as spam or from clearly out-of-market/bot sources were excluded from geographic figures. We do not report project budgets or contract values because those figures are not reliably captured at the inquiry stage; we would rather omit a number than estimate one. Figures describe Alliance Construction & Renovation’s own inquiry mix and are not a census of the whole SWFL market.
